Christopher M. Wood, EA (President & Founder)

Christopher M. Wood is a former IRS Agent, member of the National Association of Tax Preparers, and an Enrolled Agent (EA). As an EA, Christopher is authorized to practice before the IRS, in other words, with a signed Power of Attorney, he can manage your IRS Notices and Tax Liabilities on your behalf. As an EA and the owner of SLLC. Christopher has experience working IRS Tax Resolution Cases, Individual, Corporate, LLC, and Non-Profit tax returns.

Christopher is the founder and President of Samar & Co. Financial Solutions, LLC, a company located in Prince Georges County, MD. The company began in 1988 under another name. Christopher grew up in the inner-city of Washington, DC, is a 1979 graduate of Frank W. Ballou Sr. High School, and a 1984 graduate of a HBCU, North Carolina A&T University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.

Christopher’s career experiences include working as a Senior Accountant, Senior Financial Management Analyst, and a Senior Tax Accountant during his Federal Government career where he retired in 2007 at age 46 after 26 years of service. He also served as the Treasurer for the City of Glenarden where he provided monthly financial reports during televised sessions to the City Council.

Christopher’s past experiences as a community servant is where he served as a Trustee and Chief Operating Officer for JTAME Zion church, Treasurer for the South Bowie Boys & Girls Club, and Treasurer for the Hyattsville/Landover Md Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
